About Roots Grove

Roots Grove, formerly Olde Dog, is a small artisan business specializing unique Bags, Wallets, and Artwork made from recycled sailcloth, and vintage or discarded fabrics of all kinds. While this shop may be referred to as we or our, Roots Grove is a one person operation from initial design, to production, and sales. After eight years of professional sailmaking experience, Olde Dog was started on Etsy in 2011. Customers began seeing booths at Art festivals, concerts, and local events in the Delmarva region in the spring of 2015. In 2018, I started a small farm in the mountains of Allegany County Maryland, in an effort to grow my own food, share with the community, and do a bit less sewing. In 2024 I decided to merge my sewing business, "Olde Dog Sewing," with "Roots Grove Micro Farm," resulting in the current day website. I hope to bring treats from the farm an make them available online soon. The farm is now growing multiple varieties of Lavender and Lemongrass, along with other wonderful smelling plants that will be distilled into essential oils for wonderful smelling products! Our recycled sail wallets and bags are make from 70-100% recycled sails. At Olde Dog we take the time to smell the roses; quality and creativity always take precedent. If you have your own custom vision, inquire by email: rootsgrove@pm.me
